Friendly service, good pizza, ample parking, and sports on the HD TV equals a formula for a good evening with my wife. The many pizza offerings make it tough to choose. We took the easy way out and did a "build-it-yourself" concoction. This place is well worth the drive out to Grant Line.

I've been wanting to visit the place for awhile now. Finally stopped in. The service was great. Owner was extremely nice. The pizza was ok. Not amazing. Decent quality. I was hoping the red sauce would have been better than it was, and more consistent throughout the entire pizza (it was hit or miss). Veggies appeared to be fresh. The dough wasn't anything to write home about. So, it was ok. I was wanting a Jake's Pizza (from Cupertino), Gino's Pizza (from Chicago), kinda experience. Instead, it was eh. Probably wont return. Only because its not something Ill crave. Im still on the hunt for an amazing pizza. Those who wrote amazing reviews, I question their knowledge of pizza, especially within CA, let alone other states. If ya want an ok pizza, relax, and watch the game on their awesome TV's in the back dining room, go for it. You wont regret it. Great spot to chill and drink beer on tap. But if you want something that is amazing, mouth watering, drool worthy, this isnt it.

The pizza is AmazeBalls!! The owner is fantastic and he treats his employees great. The staff is always friendly and even gives us suggestions on what to order when we can't make up our minds. The prices are on the higher side, but he uses fresh, quality ingredients, and it's well worth the price! And you get great coupons on the Fat Mikes FB page and website.

Absolutely wonderful pizza!! 2 years ago I have made the move from San Francisco and I must say this place rates in my top 5 good old pizza joints! Definitely the best since moving from the bay area for its style pizza!! I have no complaints other then if you get delivery and pay with a card over the phone you can only tip over the phone then or with cash. Unfortunately my husband and I did not have cash on us and we felt so bad not being able to tip our driver.

Finally tried this place out! My husband and I ordered the Fat Mikes top 10 combo. I can say it seems like they use great quality ingredients which is probably why their pizza is on the higher end for price range. I would definitely give them a try again although the sauce they used didn't seem to have any flavor to me which was upsetting. Next time I'll order like a pizza with a garlic or white sauce. We ordered take out and the customer service was great as well. I really like this place given how it's family owned. I would recommend this place. I'll definitely be back. Oh and my husband enjoyed it too.

Awesome pizza & great spot for dinner with the family. The pesto chicken pizza was sooo delicious! The pepperoni pizza was great too. My picky son ate 3 big slices- that says a lot! Can't believe I've been driving past this 5 days a week for 4 years & didn't realize what a gem was right here- will be back for sure! Consistently great tasting pizza...from the fresh crust to the delicious sauce. Our favorite is their mushroom pizza which is always packed with super fresh thick-sliced mushrooms. One of the few pizza places that we will go to without a coupon and willingly pay full price. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Always clean and tidy. TVs for watching the big games!

Its a great hole in the wall spot! Super close by too. Spectacular customer service, wait time wasn't bad either. Ordered the maverick... They are not shy with the toppings! Best part was the "baby plate" they offered free of charge. Cheese, olives, pineapple and croutons for my little one.

Fat miles has great pizza everything is very fresh down to the sauce that's used you can almost smell the basil used! The dough has great rise and seems to be made fresh daily. The toppings are piled on heavy giving it great texture and flavor. The dining within the restaurant is good for a family setting because it can get fairly loud and there is a section for kids to play on various vending machines. I recommend the pizza at this location and its a great small town restaurant and you are supporting small business!!

I got the family size pizza for four of my friends including myself, more than enough and I'm a big water and this is the best pizza I've ever eaten. Better than pizza guys, Pizza Hut, mountain mikes, and pretty much all other pizza places I've been to. It's so fresh. Love this place.

Literally the best pizza ever. Prices are a bit high, but I would give my firstborn child to have just one sweet slice of their delicious pie. People and service are also excellent. If you don't like this pizza you probably have the worst taste buds and existence ever.

I've known the family that owns and operates Fat Mikes for over two decades and I'll say that they are extremely good people! Their pizza, pastas and salads are some of the best in Northern California. Their prices are very fair, the restaurant itself is always very clean and has that "Small town" feel with a great sense of family and community. If you're in Wilton, Elk Grove, Galt etc...you owe it to yourself to frequent Fat Mikes at least once a month. Great food!

Went here for lunch after a church conference. We were all starving and fat mikes did not disappoint! Immediately greeted. Answered all our questions with a great attitude. Pizza was great. Fat Mike's Pizza some of the best pizza I've ever had. The family that owns it has always been good to me, and I would always recommend the place to anyone looking for some good food in the Elk Grove area. My personal favorites of theirs include the Maverick, Pesto Italian, Cowboy, and plain ol' pepperoni pizzas. That said, I've never had a pizza from Fat Mike'Mike's I didn't like.

I live in South Sacramento near the intersection of Gerber/Power Inn Rd. I had tried almost every pizza place in the area south of 12th avenue and west of Elk Grove Florin and was looking for somewhere new to try. This is the best pizza I've ever eaten and its not even close. The service is exceptional and the accommodating attitude the staff displays makes you feel right at home. The only drawback is that the location is a bit of a drive for most people in the Sacramento area--kind of in the sticks, but its a drive I am willing to make without hesitation. The place is family run, which is also a huge plus in my book. If you're looking for a new place to eat, look no further. Fat Mike will satisfy your craving!

THE VERY BEST PIZZA IN ELK GROVE. Hands down! Been ordering their pizzas for about 7 years. The Maverick is our favorite, with xtra thick crust. And considering it's just the two of us at home, we love it SO much we order the xtra large, place the leftover pizza in the freezer and can have their pizza any time for weeks. Still need to try their calzones and sandwiches....hard to do when we're in love with the pizza. ;)

I've been here about 3 or 4 times and i love it every time! Theyre customer service is great! Theres not one thing i can complain about that. It is a family owned pizza place right next to a diner, across the street from The Wrangler Bar. The pizza is really gooood! the slices are a bit small but they are really thick which is really filling we usually order a peperonni pizza with jalapenos added, mmmmmm :) I will definitely continue coming back to Fat Mike's!

There I was, stuck in the middle of nowhere in Elk Grove, CA, about 2 hours northeast of San Francisco when I was invited to dinner at Fat Mike's Pizza. Yep, you heard that right -- Fat Mike's. You just can't make this stuff up. I took a look at their menu online and did not see any vegan cheese, but, then again, I really wouldn't have expected to at a place called Fat Mike's. I gave them a call and asked about their crust. They said that although their regular crust is not vegan, their gluten-free was. Heck, I've never had gluten-free pizza, but why not give it a try, right?! So there we were -- a group of 20 at Fat Mike's for dinner. Me and my friend, Omnia, ordered the Pesto Garden Style with red sauce (the pesto wasn't vegan) on gluten-free crust without cheese, old-school style. This is what life was like before Daiya. I really wasn't looking forward to going back in time until the pizza came out. Talk about being loaded with veggies! Wow - for a pizza without cheese, they sure made the most of the space. It was loaded with red onions, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, artichoke hearts, green onions and oregano. The gluten-free crust was crunchy and really good. The pizza was about as good as a gluten-free, vegan pizza without vegan cheese could be! We left happy and satisfied. So, if you get stuck in Elk Grove, now you know where to eat.

As a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur, Fat Mike's gets 2 thumbs wayyy up! They have a great gluten-free option... super tasty for all the times I'm forced to share my pizza with the fiance... Compared to other gluten free pizza slices I've tried, this one is low on the cardboard-like taste & texture scale. We've only ordered to go or delivery... so I can't say much for dine-in but I can say that this place is SUPER packed on Friday nights... Fat Mike's may be my favorite pizza in the Elk Grove area. Recently I took home two pizzas, one was a Cowboy, and the other was a Maui Wowee. Both were excellent. They kept well in the fridge, and I enjoyed some slices days later, after re-heating in the oven. Something I would be interested in trying would be a thin-crust version. Try them! It is a good change from the chain-places we have all over the place.

We have been driving past this place for years and finally decided to try it last night. My daughters and I loved the pizza and atmosphere. We ordered a gluten free half cheese and half pepperoni and it was some of the best pizza we have had. Meet up with some friends here and only reason we even discovered the place was because of their yelp reviews, because they are kind off the beaten track, in fact we drove right past it on the first attempt. We split a pizza with our friends and it was very tasty. Ordered at the counter and they will bring it out to you. Decor could use some updating. I would give this place 2.5 stars if I could. SUMMARY: Pizza sizes are larger than Round Table for a more affordable price but don't taste nearly as good. PROS: - Pizzas are bigger than Round Table for a lower price. For example, 13" is considered a medium (where as, at Round Table, 14" is a large) and 16" a large (where as, at Round Table, 16" is an extra large). A large specialty pizza is $23.99 - Employees were really nice. While waiting for my salad, I wondered if I had enough time to get some gas while I waited (I have been forgetful lately so wanted to handle my business ASAP) and asked the cashier if she was waiting for the delivery guy (who she thought took the salad) to get back with it or what. I realized after I had asked that the way I said it sounded unintentionally rude but the cashier didn't treat me badly for it so I appreciated that CONS: - Toppings are inconsistent in size. I had HUGE pieces of green pepper on my pizza and little pieces of green pepper. The inconsistency is NOT good. Not only did the inconsistent size cause uneven cooking but the inconsistent distribution made my experience go like this "Whoa! That was a pineapple piece! Okay! Now it's ALL green pepper! Oh, jeez! Was that a load of garlic or what?" - The apple "pie" is gawd-awful. I would have enjoyed apple pie filling on top of toast more then that pizza dough streudel. What a waste of calories. - Dough is dry, hard, and unremarkable. NEUTRAL: - Sometimes less is more. This place piles on the toppings, causing a pool of oil to form in between the dough and fat layer of toppings. - Although I like the Spinach salad (spinach with feta cheese, olives, red onions, and cranberries), it is not worth a special trip Sometimes, I think people rate the restaurants along Grant Line road highly because we're out in the boondocks and are just happy that we have a place to grab food at within 5 miles of our homes. I WANTED to like this place oh so much but, unfortunately, didn't {Insert sad face here}.

This place needs to be on the map. A little out of the way for many, but since I live in the boonies it's right by home. It's a shame in all these years I've never noticed it. I ordered the chicken pesto. Piled with quality ingredients, the crust was the ideal consistency: soft, slightly chewy, and crisp on the bottom. Pitchers are only 9 bucks. I think I'll take my friends here when they're in town. The crowd here is a bit.. monochromatic. I think I'll visit more often and give the place some color. :)

Before I get into details, this is by far the best pizza in Elk Grove that I have ever tasted, and I have lived in here almost all of my life. For the quality of the food, you can't go wrong here. While it might be pricier than other pizza joints, the quality and size make up for it big time. I was here with some family and we split a HUGE combo pizza that was stuffed with toppings, and it was so fresh that the cheese would sometimes fall off if the slice wasn't picked up carefully. My family LOVES this place for birthday parties for the kids. It's really a great family place, they've got a ton of places to sit, eating area is clean, and the pizza is delicious! Since I was last in they've expanded a little - adding a room of arcade games! So, the parties are somewhat more balanced now, kids play games, parents watch sports on the two televisions. Minus a star for their absolutely disgusting bathrooms. This has never changed in the ten years I've been coming to this place. Seriously, if you're not done eating, want to eat more, etc, etc, don't go in there. You'll completely lose your appetite.

Coming with a friend who wanted to explore Elk Grove, we gave Fat Mike's a shot. Heading South on 99, and exiting east on Grant Line at night, the 5 mile stretch came with the fear of being raped by a CAT baseball cap wearing inbred named Bubba. Walking in and checking out the crowd, "Really, are we in Elk Grove? And are we still in California? Did we somehow wormhole into a flyover state?" Not to worry, the people here seemed upbeat and really into their pizzas. Positives + The boss man at the counter was calm, friendly and enthusiastic about pointing out the best of the menu and some advantages of looking at their website. We ordered the pesto pizza on one half, and a meat lover's on pizza on the other half of our 13" medium. + At first sight, our pizza looked no better than a Round Table grade pie. At first bite however, we found that the toppings were abundant and in a slightly higher than average amount of cheese. Man (or woman) - good job, pizza cooks. + Thinking that we needed knives to slice through chewy dough, it was a pleasant, almost crisp crust that was easy to bite into. + The girls serving the pizzas were pretty efficient at cleaning off the tables and delivering the fresh out of the oven pizzas in a timely manner: "Hey, this place looks like it gets busy in here." "You got lucky - normally you can't get a table at this time." + I was pretty sure were going to polish off our medium pizza. Nope, this pizza had oomph to it. + Got to catch a glimpse of a few NBA games going on some of the flat screens. Negatives - I've noticed a significant number of fake positive reviews written about Fat Mike's. Whoever you are, FUCK YOU. The shit-stained fake reviews are unnecessary. Did Fat Mike's somehow not have enough reviews? Anyway, the pizza crew was good, and the pizza itself was good. And I plan to come back soon. Why the need for fake positive reviews? Still Observing Using the bathroom during busy dinner hours, I didn't notice anything filthy about the bathrooms, that others have mentioned. Maybe now Mike's is now cleaning up in there more often. If not, I'm sure someone else will spot it. Comparisons Although I haven't been to Steve's pizza myself, here's what one of my friends had to say: "Steve's can make a pesto just like Mike's, but I think Steve's pesto pizza is significantly more expensive." Yep, I'll be back for more pizzas here. A great, out of the way spot to get away to.

Elk Grove is the land of chain restaurants, so finding a great family owned restaurant is exciting! Fat Mike's is such a gem! Not only was the gooey cheesed, fresh ingredient pizza delicious (Ordered the chicken bbq, pepperoni, meat, and vegetarian), BUT it was everything a pizza parlor should be--arcade room (not huge, but had an air hockey table), wall of local sports team's trophies and just a general vintage, all American feel. We also found coupon's on the restaurant's website. not giving it 5 stars because the bathroom was a little messy.

Tired of the same old, same old, I went on quest to find something different in this chain restaurant filled town. What did I find? Fat Mike's Pizza. As someone who worked at a pizza place for 2 years and vowed to never eat pizza again, I was really apprehensive about going here. However, I was wrong (and being stubborn, I don't say that often). Fat Mike's was DELICIOUS. I ordered two of their specialty pizzas:The Mediterranean and The Garlic Chicken. I can't decide which I like better because they were both great. Their menu is different from other pizza places and I like the creativity. The customer service was awesome. They did forget to make my salad but they were very apologetic about it and had someone make it quickly, so I wasn't waiting for too long. I did order my food for pick up, so I didn't eat inside, but the atmosphere seemed family friendly and it was very bright and cheery in there. I will definitely be back.

pizza was great...the young lady who help us out was super nice and very helpful. she greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and was there to answer any question we had. she even suggested a delicious pizza that my family loved. so youre probably wondering why i only gave fat mikes 2 stars....the whole time i was eating i couldnt help but notice the owner, i believe his name was brian, stand there with a grumpy look on his face and a rude disposition. he continually lectured our waitress on what she need to do, as if she wasnt doing an excellent job. and being a friendly guy i tried small talking with him but all i got was one word responses. i will not support a business and give my money to a rude business owner that seemed incredibly ungreatful to have my families business... spend your money somewhere else...and you would think that in these hard times small business owners would do anything to keep customers coming back. bathrooms were also disgusting...my wife was very bothered by this. she said "if the bathrooms arent cleaned regularly, i wonder what the kitchen looks like" which is an excellent point

I've been here a number times. Lunches and dinners. My favorite time to go is at night when you have a large group of people and you can order a number of different pizzas. They have some great flavor.

My family and I visited for the first time tonight. We were impressed by the friendliness and service we received from the moment we walked through the door. We were helped with our selection, the waitress was phenominal, and service was prompt. Pizza was fantastic! Oh yeah, we'll be going back!

I LOVE Fat Mikes Pizza! The staff is great, and the food is even better. My kids are never bored when we go there, and they eat everything on their plate. This pizza place is well worth the drive!

Fat Mikes Pizza has the BEST gluten free pizza! I loved it. I highly recommend this place for those of you who can not do gluten, but would like to enjoy a good pizza. The staff there has always been pretty friendly too.

This is the best pizza ever!! The staff here is excellent, and food is amazing. My personal favorite is the Maverick, the combination of garlic and spice is perfect. The atmosphere is just like a pizza joint should be.

Just went here for a family birthday party. The pizza was pretty good, and the restaurant was clean and nice. The waitresses were friendly and helpful and made certain we had everything we needed. We had the nice big party room with plenty of space for the little kids to run around- All in all a pleasant experience.

After reading all of the reviews, we were crossing our fingers on finally finding a good pizza joint in this town... WOKA!! WOKA!! WOKA!! Same, standard issue greesy pizza that seems to be The trend in elk grove! Quite the drive for what the pizza ended up being..not worth it!

We were in needof a Pizza place that would deliver to my son's house in a remote location. Fat Mike's said they would. They delivered right on time and best of all, the pizza was fantastic! Our son is now overjoyed that he can have great NY style pizza delivered anytime. Good goin' Fat Mike!

very good pizza! this place is second best pizza on my list=) crust was perfectly crispy on the bottom but soft on the inside, crunchy cheese on the crust. and they aren't stingy with the toppings! they use real ingredients and you can watch it bake if you want=)

We eat here probably once a week, always good! Definitely awesome pizza, calzones, salads etc. We always have fun and they have an assortment of beer on tap :) Definitely worth the drive since we live in Wilton!

Not bad. Kind of reminds me of that frozen pizza that the commercials say tastes like delivery. (Costo hands it out as samples, sometimes.) It's more expensive here, though.

Having this place in Wilton was a godsend when I got into high school. Pizza Bell never delivered, and when this place finally came along, and would bring Pizza all the way out to Wilton - I was ecstatic. The garlic chicken pizza is and will always be my favorite. Especially when paired with a delicious side of ranch. So tasty!
